New Life in Christ
"But God"... has been described as the gospel summarized in just two words. The hope of the gospel is that it is the power of God at work bringing life to the dead. In His amazing grace, love, mercy, and kindness, God gave us spiritual life in Christ. The Bible is clear, we are saved by grace through faith, and not by good works, but for good works which are to glorify God. --- Being part of God’s family means that we gain a new identity. In the book of Ephesians, we will explore the true meaning of the gospel, and how our new identity comes from being united with Christ. We will discover who we are in Christ and how we are to live in light of this new identity.

1. Without Christ, we were spiritually dead. (Ephesians 2:1-3)
2. With Christ, we are spiritually alive. (Ephesians 2:4-7)
3. In Christ, we are God’s masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
All who have life in Christ are God’s masterpiece! By grace and through faith, God made us alive in Christ Jesus to do good works. In the words of Jesus, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
