Celebrate Good Times, C'mon!
As we conclude our series on Esther, we look at how the Jewish people remember these events in the festival of Purim and how rhythmic remembrance is a key part of living a Christian life.

Message Outline
God WINS VICTORIES for His people.
CELEBRATION is a necessary part of the Christian life.
We should continuously REMIND ourselves of the victories our LIVING God has accomplished.
Sometimes we need REMINDING from others about WHY we do what we do.
When God does great things, others TAKE NOTICE.

Skye Jethani, from With God Daily entry for September 21, 2023:
“Scripture presents the Lord as dynamic, creative, and engaged—ever at work in new and surprising ways. This is why he is often identified as “the living God” within Scripture. Unlike the idols of other nations that cannot see, hear, speak, move, or relate to us, Israel’s God is intimately engaged with his people and the events of history. This is why Psalm 98 calls upon God’s people to sing a ‘new song.’ The old songs, which told of the Lord’s great works in ages past, are not enough because he is still active in our day. He is still doing marvelous things…. Lifeless religion is always looking backwards, but those who walk with the living God will learn to look ahead.”
