MOPS Open House
Friday, August 25 | Manteno MOPS will be kicking off the 2023-24 year at their annual Open House on Friday, August 25 at 9:30am at our church. MOPS is a great way for mothers with little ones to form a community where they can come together to share their parenting journey and learn from one another. Our MOPS meets on Friday mornings twice a month in the Children's Center. Childcare is provided for ages 6mos- 5 years at each meeting. If you have any questions leading up to the Open House, please reach out to our MOPS coordinator at 815-468-8946.
Media and Music Workshop
Saturday, August 26 | Calling all tech team and worship band, and all people who have thought, "I'd be cool if I was on tech team or on stage in the worship band." We are having a training day on August 26 in the morning. We invited some outside experts to evaluate what we are doing and help us come up with ways to improve, or just congratulate us on our excellence. We will be dividing up into small teams to work on the different aspects. It will, hopefully, be educational.

Employment
We are still looking for a part-time custodian. Go to the employment page under resources on the church website, www.mantenonazarene.org, if you are interested or want more information.
Crisis Care Kits
Crisis care kits are sent out by the Nazarene Church all over the world when disaster strikes. The kit is made up of personal care items and is designed to get you thru the first couple hard days after disaster strikes. Kits are assembled by individual churches and sent to warehouses where they wait till they are needed. For the disaster in Hawaii, we as a global church have so far sent over 6,000 kits. We continuely collect for these kits locally, but are in special need of a few items at this time. We are looking for Shampoo (12-18oz), Toothpaste (4-6.4oz), and Handtowels. Donations can be dropped in the box in the coat room.
