Is there more to the Feeding of the 5,000 than Jesus' meeting physical needs?

In the Feeding of the 5,000 Jesus was teaching the disciples that when they bring what they have to Him, no matter how small it seems, He will accomplish great things through them. And He was preparing them for the task of the Great Commission of making disciples that's recorded at the end of Matthew's Gospel.
How about you? Is there something that you sense Jesus asking you to do that seems incredibly impossible? Remember the loaves and fishes, the baskets of leftovers, the Lord's patience with the hesitant disciples. Bring what you have to Jesus, trusting in Him; then step out in faith and he will accomplish great things through you for your good and to His glory.
Maybe through helping to meet the physical, financial or emotional needs of people, Jesus can work through you to meet their spiritual needs and accomplish the Great Commission through you. As you share your faith story.
