Heart - the most affection.
Soul - the most passion.
Strength - the most effort.
Mind - the most attention.

START TALKING
When have you had a "prized possession" that became your main focus? What is your prized possession now? Maybe a better way to think about it, what would your family and friends say is your prized possession?
What is the first thing that comes to mind for you when you hear the word "worship"? Why is that what you think of first or most?

START THINKING
Read Matthew 15:7-9. The worship that Isaiah and Jesus talks about here is not singing! It is everything they did to attempt to be religious - their rituals, their prayers, their expectations. They did all of that, but it did not matter to God because of what?
What are the things that we do other than singing that we do to worship God, but if our hearts are not right it won't matter to Him? How does that make us hypocrites?
Read John 4:23. What happens if our worship gets out of balance and it is all "spirit"? What about if it is all "truth"?

START SHARING
Share experiences or times when you have felt that God got the best of each of these below for you. How did you know that he was getting your "most"?
Affection
Passion
Effort
Attention
Since we are all wired to worship, we will naturally give our best of each of those to something or someone. If you are honest, what competes to get the best of each of those above? What are you prone to give the most to in each of those four areas?

START DOING
Go through the four words below once again, but this time each person share what you can (and will!) do this week to give the most of each to Jesus! What are practical steps you can take to be disciplined so that Jesus gets the best of your:
Affection
Passion
Effort
Attention
If you do this, how will the next step of worship be natural - to love your neighbor as yourself? How and why is this an important step so that your worship doesn't stay with just you?

START PRAYING
Take a moment to pray for each person to give Jesus their first and their best in every area of life so that we can be true worshippers, in spirit and in truth.
