This Sunday, Anthony will continue our series on the book of Acts. Don’t forget our pre-service prayer meetings in the church house from 8.30am each Sunday. All welcome!
Anthony says “Conversion !!! An old-fashioned word that doesn’t get used much anymore when it comes to becoming a Christian. The word means “the process of changing or causing something to change from one form to another.” However, that’s how the Bible describes anyone who has said yes to Jesus - “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Sunday, we see this—one of the most dramatic conversions in the church's history. Acts 9 - can’t wait !!!.”
“He who had expected to enter Damascus in the fullness of his pride and prowess, as a self confident opponent of Christ, was actually led into it, humbled and blinded, a captive of the very Christ he had opposed.”
“The hand of God pushed Saul from his “high horse,” but God used the hand of a man to bring Saul what he most needed. God spoke from heaven, but he also spoke through an obedient disciple who gave the message to Saul. The “ordinary” events were just as much a part of the miracle as were the extraordinary.”
