True Freedom – In Christ Alone

True Freedom – In Christ Alone

In this life, we often struggle with the idea of being free. For most, that freedom is fought for and defended by the persuit of worldly desires and sinful pleasures. Only to realize that the truest freedom is only found in a life filled with Christ.

True freedom in Christ is not the absence of restrictions or the ability to do whatever we please; it is the liberation from the bondage of sin and the transformation of our lives through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Understanding the Bondage of Sin
a. Sin enslaves us and separates us from God, leading to spiritual and emotional bondage.
b. “Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.”
The Israelites in Egypt - physically enslaved and in desperate need of deliverance.
i. They were enslaved by Egypt.
ii. They were abused.
iii. They cried out to God.
iv. God sent a deliverer.
The Price of True Freedom
Jesus' Sacrifice: Christ paid the ultimate price by offering Himself on the cross to redeem us from the power of sin.
Embracing True Freedom
Repentance and Faith: Acknowledging our sinful nature, repenting, and placing our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Living in Freedom
Transformation: True freedom in Christ involves a complete transformation of our lives through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Walking in the Freedom
Daily Surrender: Surrendering our will to God, relying on His guidance, and seeking to align our lives with His purposes.
The Promise of Eternal Freedom
Hope of Eternal Life: True freedom in Christ extends beyond this earthly life and promises eternal fellowship with God.
Invitation: If you have not experienced true freedom in Christ, today is the day to turn to Him, surrender your life, and receive the gift of eternal freedom.

Online Giving

Tithe & Offering 2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. God's people have always been characterized by giving, but the way they've given has changed over time.  Giving is an important aspect of the Christian life. After all, Luke records that Jesus himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).  At Northside, we want to encourage all members to pray about giving and give as God leads them.
