Sunday 8:00 AM

Holy Spirit is a glimpse of Heaven before we arrive.
We exist to bring glory to God, and love as many people to Jesus as we can before we die. Period!
God gives us the Spirit that we might find freedom for ourselves and others in the Love of God.
The first and foremost gift of the Spirit is that Holy Spirit leads us to salvation.
…no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
God gives the gifts of the Spirit for the unity of the Body of Christ.
We are united in His love for us, and His plan to rescue his prodigal sons ands daughters.

God doesn’t give us completely unique experiences because he is a consistent God who relates to us consistently.

God doesn’t give all us all the same experience because He is a personal God and relates to us individually.

In the Kingdom of God we are all unique by design, that distinctiveness is necessary to accomplish the purposes of God upon the earth.

The gifts of the Spirit should bring humility and unity, and if we had that as a body of believers we would be unstoppable.
As believers we need to be open to the gifts because they serve God’s purpose for our lives.
Some of these gifts are both specific gifts and common calls to all believers.

Every believer is called and equipped for ministry, but we all serve in different ways at different times and seasons of life.

These spiritual gifts may seem to share some similarities with natural gifts that we also have apart from the Spirit, but they are different.
Our goal in this series is to teach a Biblical perspective on the third person of the Trinity and His work in our lives.

The gifts of the Spirit should bring humility and unity, and if we had that as a body of believers we would be unstoppable.
1 Corinthians 13 - Love, the ultimate purpose and expression of the gifts.
When you read the New Testament honestly, you can’t help but get the impression of a big difference from a lot of contemporary Christian experience. For them the Holy Spirit was a fact of experience. For many Christians today it is a fact of doctrine.
-John Piper
If God is real and can be known, we can’t treat scripture as if it is theoretical.

It’s impossible to be in full submission to God and tell Him no.

Read the Word, and ask God to illuminate it for you.

Ask yourself, “Have I been limiting what I will allow God to do?”

Open yourself up to the plan of Holy Spirit for your life.
