In order to press forward and reject victim hood,Joseph had to had make peace with his past.
In order to press forward and reject victim hood,Joseph had to had make peace with his past.
Think about all Joseph had to make peace with:
· the hatred of his brothers
· the time stripped and thrown into a prison by those same brothers
· the memories of hearing his brothers sell him as a slave
· the years of serving as a slave to many
· the false accusations of Potipher's wife
· the years shackled in prison

We are microwave world with a crock pot God.
Jesus spent 30 years growing in intimacy with the Father before He did any ministry.
Joseph's story messes with our Western views on and how we think (or at least want) God to act towards us.

God comes where He's wanted.
Hunger is the currency of heaven.
You have as much Jesus as you want.

You have as much Jesus as you want.
The Father is eager to bless those who acknowledge that He is always the one at work.
He doesn’t want you to just use your connections as a stepping stone. He doesn’t want you to lean on your credentials to open doors. He wants the world to look at your story and come to only one conclusion, that it was Christ at work in you.
