A Life of Worship: Part 3 of 3
Worship: Every Moment
Pastor Adam Parmenter
· שָׁחָה / shachah - Bow, prostrate in submission (Psalm 95:6).
· Exacting as to location, furnishings, and forms
· Fellowship with God: At a distance
Jesus' birth removed the distance
Jesus' shed blood removed our sin debt
τελέω / teleo
· to bring to a close, complete, fulfill as commanded. To pay.
Over the many hours on the cross, Jesus lips, tongue and throat became very dry. Unable to croak out much. The sour wine hydrated his mouth and made it water. Then he was able burst forth loudly “TELEO”
Jesus death satisfied all the righteous requirements of God’s holy law.
Jesus’ death removed the barrier
Jesus changed the kingdom from physical to spiritual
Jesus' death, burial and resurrection changed the temple from physical to spiritual
Jesus was the final, once-for-all sacrifice
Sin has been fully cleansed, not simply covered.
My life a “living” sacrifice
service / λατρεία / latreia – service of God (i.e. worship)
My words: a “fellowship” offering
My prayers are like the incense in the Holy Place
Happy Anniversary!

Get Involved!
« MONETARY SUPPORT NEEDED...We are hoping to give away at least 1000 free hot dogs at this event. If you would like to make a donation towards the purchase of hot dogs, please leave it in the jar in the foyer or note “Hot Dogs” in the memo of your check. We hope to purchase hot dogs from Village Market (in Allegan) again this year as they’ve sold them around Memorial Weekend for 88¢ in the past.
