The blessedness of salvation is for everyone. Abraham proves it. David reiterates it. If we could earn our salvation, Christ would not have died to provide it.
Circumcision was an obedient act that confirmed the righteousness Abraham had already received by faith before he was circumcised.
Patting ourselves on the back indicates we are out of touch with God.
When we are credited for righteousness, it’s not a reward for our faith.
How should I respond to today’s truth? With jubilation!
