“How To Receive”
The reality is that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues was a NORMAL part of the Christian life in the Early Church.
It’s your CHOICE to RECEIVE this gift or not.

1. PRE-REQUISITES FOR RECEIVING
1. Have an Open Mind and Believe
Acts 19:1-6 (NLT) we read, “While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus, on the coast, where he found several believers. “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them. “No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” “Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues

2. Have a Willing Spirit and Desire It!
Why do I want this Gift?
We desire and pursue the things we perceive that we need in our lives.
When you get desperate enough for the things of God you no longer care about what the crowd thinks!
3. Surrender and Receive It
To receive I need to be willing to lay down my pride, reputation, and feelings of “what will others think,” and SURRENDER to the Spirit.
Acts 2:4 clearly states, “And THEY BEGAN TO SPEAK in other tongues as the Spirit gave them the words.”
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECEIVING
1. Ask God to Forgive you of any know Sin.
2. Ask Jesus to Baptize you and give you a Prayer Language.
3. Relax and Expect to Receive
4. Open Your Mouth and Speak!
5. Believe that what you are receiving is from God and that you’re not making it up.
6. Persevere.
Tongues is only ONE evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
