Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
It's the second week of our "Keep on Truckin' " series and this week we are focusing on something everyone has experienced: fear. This week's message will focus on how we keep on truckin' in spite of fear.
Ice Breaker: Why is being "fearless" so unrealistic?
One of the most common commands in The Bible is "Fear Not", yet it is a God-given part of being human. We can't avoid fear, but it's important to remember that fear can also limit progress and even hold us back from Trust and Faith. When was a time that you have you experienced fear holding you back?
There is a difference between having fear and living in fear. While it is normal to have fear, we can't let it control the direction of our lives. How do you typically respond to fear?
Read Luke 8:22-25. How did Jesus use this opportunity to redirect the Disciples' fear to trust?
Pastor Jonathan said, "let your fear trigger your trust". Read Psalm 56:3 (NIV) and discuss this truth in the context of your life.
Fears come and go. They change throughout our lives. But fear is not the opposite of Faith; it's an opportunity for greater Faith. Take some time and pray. Reflect on the verse above, Psalm 56:3. Ask God to help you navigate your fears and grow through them.
