We live in a culture today that has lost its reverence for God, because we think we know better than God does.

Listen, we will always be afraid of something if we don’t understand it.

We can’t afford not to know who God is, and what he requires of us! We have to see a reverence for God restored in our culture, and it begins with you and it begins with me. Otherwise we become afraid of something we know little about. Which happened to David.

Point # 3. we must be willing to purify or set ourselves apart for the Lord.

Which means -

1. To be consecrated, dedicated
2. To observe as holy, keep sacredIt’s
3. To honor the sacred
4. To be set apart.

Are you set apart?

Are you different enough from the world to make a change in the world?

4 Parts of the Ark.

The Ark of the Covenant carried three things inside:

1. And a jar of mana (food) that God provided for Israel in the wilderness. This represents God’s provision.

2. Aaron’s staff that budded and produced almonds in the presence of God. This represents God’s authority.

3. The stone tablets that God gave to Moses. This represents the the law.

4. The fourth piece of the Ark was the most precious because the top of the Ark is where two angels on either side reached out their wings and created a covering. In the middle of those was called the Mercy Seat.

Mercy Seat: The physical place where God’s glory dwelt.
*And isn't it interesting that God’s mercy was above or covered the law.

In order to have a passion for revival...

1. We have to recognize where we have neglected to put God first.

2. We have to see a reverence of God restored in our lives before we can expect to see it in others.

3. We must be willing to purify or set ourselves apart for the Lord, if we expect him to use us to make a difference.
