Message Series: Together - Helping People FIND & FOLLOW Jesus
Today's Message: Together in Serving
Key Scripture: Acts 2:42-47 & 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

Acts 2: The Church of Christ was born in power on the day of Pentecost. One moment there was no church; the next, there it was! The first church is held before us as an example of what church congregations should look like.

Acts 2:42-47: Christians were in God's Word and they did life together. Christians shared, prayed, and served together for Jesus Christ to be glorified.

1.The Church is Like a body.
There are many parts because there are many needs.

2. The Church is like a family.
As God's children, we no longer consider the categories and classes of society in our interaction with each other. We "are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

3.The Church is like a temple.
The Holy Spirit consecrates us and His sacred dwelling place. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). We are being raised up as a holy temple in Christ. He joins us to each other so that we are a whole building, not a shell. (Ephesians 2:21-22)

Prayerfully look over the "SERVE OPPORTUNITIES" card. Fill out the ministry areas you want to learn more about. Place the card at the cross. A CP ministry leader will reach out to you soon.

The first question that the priest and the Levite asked was: "If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?" But the Good Samaritan reversed the question: "If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?"
Martin Luther King, Jr
