Requested Information (You asked, we’re answering)

Where are the Giving and Connection Station Stands and what are they for? Giving and Connection Station Stands are located in the E2/Office lobby, the Café, at the E3 entrance or the W2 entrance. They are black stands with a sign that says Giving and Connection Station. Here, you can place tithes and offerings, connect cards, prayer cards, special orders, slips, or information requested by the church in the slots.

What is Home Missions Sunday and when is it? Home Missions Sunday is the 1st Sunday of each month. This gives you the opportunity to make an additional offering that will go directly towards the needs that come up within our own church and community. To give to this Mission, go to a Giving and Connection Station Stand for an envelope and mark beside “Home Missions”. You can also give online.

How do we give our Tithes and Offerings: You will find Tithes and Offerings envelopes at a Giving and Connection Station Stand. Mark the amount on the line beside “Tithes” for your regular tithe or “Other Special” for amounts you would like to give above and beyond your tithe, if you so choose. This can then be placed in the slot. You can also give online.

How do we give online: https://atlanticavenuechurch.org/giving/ In the drop-down menu, select “Give to Home Missions” or “Give to General Fund (for Tithes). You can choose to pay by credit/debit card, or for the largest percentage of your giving to be received, you can choose to give via ACH bank transfer.
The Happenings

Office Closed for New Year: Monday, January 2, 2023

Christmas Poinsettias: You may take your Christmas poinsettia with you this Sunday. They are on the steps of the sanctuary stage on the right. There is a list of your flower color and foil color. Any remaining poinsettias will be donated.

Blanket Ministry: Our Atlantic Avenue Church Blanket Ministry Team made and gave away 134 blankets in 2022! Wow! How awesome is that!? Among some of those blessed by this ministry were ABC Life Center, UPMC dialysis patients, Covey Benefit Dinner and our church family members residing in the area nursing homes. It is so wonderful to know that this ministry is bringing comfort and love to those in our church family and community. Thank you so much! If this sounds like a ministry you would like to be a part of, the group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 1:00-3:00 in room 102 (buzz in at the W2 entrance). Any questions, you may call or email the church office.

Our Greatest Need Leads To Our Greatest Gift: Do you have a burden for family, friends and/or others that do not know the Lord as their personal Savior? Your Prayer Team would like to pray with you for their salvation throughout the coming year. Please provide names on a Greatest Need Slip in the Sunday Bulletin Happenings or email office@AtlanticAvenueChurch.org with names of people you would like to have prayer for. Together we will lift up their names to the throne room of grace. There is no greater gift than the free gift of salvation through the saving grace of Jesus.

HOPE Ministry (Widowed Ladies): Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Enter at W2. We will be having a soup lunch. Please sign up at a Resource Center to bring soup or a side or dessert.

Ladies Fellowship: Save The Date-Thursday, January 12 at 11:30 a.m. Please enter at the E3 door. "Let It Snow" is our theme and we will enjoy a delicious "Soup Bar" to warm us up. We look forward to a time of fellowship with you and the great time we will have together. Sign-up sheets are in the Resource Centers in the Café and E2 lobby.
Reminder: We will have a ladies' fellowship gathering the second Thursday of every month at 11:30, so mark the date in your calendar and plan to look forward to a monthly opportunity to be blessed.

Women’s Ministry Gathering: Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Debbie McElroy will be starting this new women’s group. It will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the multipurpose room (unless otherwise noted). Debbie plans to have a time of fellowship with something fun planned each month, a devotional, and discussion time for what women in our church can do as a whole and in the community.

Girl’s Night Out (GNO): Thursday, January 19 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Family Center Kitchen. Please knock on the kitchen door for entry. This month’s dinner theme is New Year Celebration.
