1 John 2:20 (MSG)
But you belong. The Holy One anointed you, and you all know it.

The anointing is the power and the presence of God upon you to accomplish what you cannot do on your own.

But...God’s agenda is crippled

a. God’s people refuse

b. to step out by faith
c. and trust their anointing

People tend to listen more to the inner voices than HG.

These become our excuses.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (MSG)
Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses,

Your broken past is what
qualifies you!

1 Corinthians 1:28 (MSG)
chose these "nobodies" to expose the hollow pretensions of the "somebodies"?

It’s about God in you.

1 Corinthians 1:29-30 (MSG)
That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God.

God works with you and through you.

a. it’s not about you

1 Corinthians 1:30 (MSG)
Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ.

God provides what you feel that you are lacking

HG fills in the gaps that:

a. Satan has lied to you about

b. that you have used as excuses

1 Samuel 16 - Elijah is sent to anoint a new king.

Jesse calls for his sons.

1 Samuel 16:6 (NLT)
When they arrived, Samuel took one look at Eliab and thought, “Surely this is the LORD’s anointed!”

People have a tendency to jump to conclusions.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT)
7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Sometimes, what people accept God rejects.

1 Samuel 16:11 (NLT)
11 Then Samuel asked, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse replied. “But he’s out in the fields watching the sheep and goats.” “Send for him at once,” Samuel said. “We will not sit down to eat until he arrives.”

Jesse didn’t consider David.

a. he didn’t qualify in his eyes

b. too young

c. smells like goats

d. always singing (to God)

1 Samuel 16:13 (NLT)
So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah.

Notice - And the Spirit of the
LORD came powerfully upon David from that day on.

a. anointing stays with you

1 John 2:27 (MSG)
But they're no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Christ's anointing, no less! You don't need any of their so-called teaching. Christ's anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.

You don’t have to be taught how to flow in your anointing.

God is demonstrating who He is through you.

Your gift points you to your purpose.

Mark 16:20 (KJV)
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Do what you can and He'll do the rest.

NLT - works THROUGH you

You should not only minister the Word, but demonstrate it.

Ecclesiastes 8:3 (NLT)
Don’t try to avoid doing your duty, and don’t stand with those who plot evil, for the king can do whatever he wants.

We are Kings/Priests unto God.

You have a divine purpose.

Ecclesiastes 8:4 (NLT)
His command is backed by great power. No one can resist or question it.

Stop begging and start
commanding (decreeing).

Job 22:28 (KJV)
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Develop a King Consciousness.

Job 22:28 (NLT)
You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.

Anointing will bring success.

Job 22:28 (MSG)
You'll decide what you want and it will happen; your life will be bathed in light.
