CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICE • We invite you and your family to celebrate Christmas Day with us! We will meet at 10am on Sunday, December 25th, for an abbreviated worship service, with traditional carols, a special reading of the Christmas Story by Kim Case, and a brief message from Pastor Robert. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas (optional for adults!) and join Kim on the stage where pictures from the Jesus Storybook Bible will be cast on the big screens. So grab all the children you know and have them sit with you in the sanctuary for this one hour service. As usual, the Nursery will be open to care for infants through three year olds. After service, we will enjoy donuts from Top Pot, hot cocoa, coffee beverages, cider, tea, and festive treats!

CONSECRATION SERVICE 2023 • Celebrate the new year with us on Sunday, January 1, 2023! Our senior pastor and ministry leaders will discuss the impact of Calvary Chapel Eastside on our community in 2022 and share the vision for 2023 and beyond!

HOME FELLOWSHIPS • Home fellowships are a wonderful way to get involved in community, strengthen your relationship with the Lord, and learn together!

We encourage you to think and pray about joining a group this year! In addition to our current Home Fellowship groups, we invite you to join Roger and Ann Atherton at their new Black Diamond/Maple Valley Home Fellowship every Thursday, at 6:45pm.

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY CLASS • The Junior High group meets every Sunday, at 10am in Room 203. Brian Parks is teaching new materials from the Answers In Genesis Middle School program and sharing in many other interactive games and activities. Don’t miss the fellowship and fun!

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY | CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS • Our Children’s Ministry is seeking volunteers for all of our programs. Can you join the children as they journey with Jesus this year? We are currently seeking teachers and helpers on Sunday mornings across our three age groups: Babies & Tots (0-3); Younger Kids (4-7); and Older Kids (8-11).

We are also seeking a qualified Special Needs Assistant.

AWANA • Registration is open! Calvary Chapel Eastside’s Awana program is a great way for young people to draw near to Jesus as they hide God’s Word in their hearts. Knowing how God wants us to live out our faith is vitally important to our spiritual health and the future of our children.

Winter, 2023 AWANA Clubs begin Wednesday, January 4th! Join us Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm. All children 3 years through 6th grade will grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus through the Bible in this multi-leveled club.

WOMEN’S TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY • Join us in the Lodge (down the steps at the far end of the CCE church parking lot) every Tuesday, 10:30am-12:30pm, following our Sound Mind & Body Fitness Class with Patti, 9:15-10:15am.

We will also enjoy picnics and/or hikes attached to some of our gatherings, and select locations depending upon planned activities, weather, etc.

MEN'S DISCIPLESHIP • Men Discipling Men meets in person every Wednesday at 7pm in Room 204, or you can participate via Zoom. We are kicking off the new year on Wednesday, January 4th. Join us as we continue to learn how to fight the good fight of faith through a Navigator’s study of 2 Timothy.

We welcome you to take part in our mentoring program by signing up to be a mentor or a mentee and discussing various topics with one another. Drop in on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, or reach out to Tom Hoag (n6xb@yahoo.com).

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED | CCE A/V TEAM • Are you interested in participating in our ever-expanding audio/video ministry? We are currently teaching volunteers how to mix sound for both our in-house congregation and those listening online here and abroad. We are also training volunteers in video, lighting, and streaming technologies.

MISSIONS SPOTLIGHT | AUSTRIA • This month’s featured missionary is The Ibbotson Family. Ivan, Michelle, Nollie, Ella, Emery, and Lucy have been a full time missionary family at Calvary Chapel Salzburg since 2008, when The Chapel in Salzburg began its journey with a handful of people meeting for a midweek Bible study. Since those first small steps, The Ibbotsons have been amazed to witness God use the most unlikely people in the most unconventional ways for the purpose of furthering His kingdom.
