Sermon Discussion Questions
Here are a few questions for 1:10 small groups, family devotions, or personal meditation, as we seek to apply God’s Word to our lives.

1. Opener: What two positive qualities about your mom or dad come to mind when you think about your childhood?

2. Read Matthew 1:18-25. What is something from this week’s text or sermon that resonated with you?

3. It could be said that the first thing Jesus saved was Mary and Joseph’s marriage. Divorce is a personal topic for many people. If you are willing, share how divorce has affected your life.

4. How can the Good News of Jesus Christ redeem the scars and hurt of broken marriages or relationships?

5. Recall a time when you messed up and needed grace, and someone gave it to you. What was that experience like? How did you respond to the grace you were given?

6. What is something you have done that was initially uncomfortable, but God ending up using for His good purpose? How did you feel after you saw God use it?

7. Take a moment and think about the people in your life. With whom is God calling you to “break the silence”? How might you reach out to them with the Good News?

8. What is something you have learned from your personal Bible reading this week?
