The Mosaic Covenant was a command for God’s people to obey. The New Covenant is a proclamation that Christ has obeyed.
3. He was making them new.
Warren Wiersbe - "Jesus did not come to renovate Moses or even mix Law and grace. He came with new life!”
In the same way that the sons of the bridegroom do not fast when He is present, we do not feast when He is absent. Therefore, communion is our reminder that we await the day when we will feast with Him again in the Heavenly Kingdom.
