“Readiness”
Leader: The people walking in darkness have seen a great light:
People: On those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2)
Leader: Our Savior Jesus said, “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Matthew 24:44)
People: All will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. (1 Peter 4:5)
Leader: Christ himself has given apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers to make God’s people ready for works of service. (Ephesians 4:11)
All: He will strengthen our hands to do his work and open our lips to declare his praise. (Psalm 51:15)
