PRAYER FOR TRIALS
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. —James 5:13a
What trial are you going through?
At the station, review James 1:2-5, identify your current trial, then release to God by throwing a rock into the pile. If online or in the pew, release your trial by writing a prayer to God about it.
PRAYER OF PRAISE
Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. —James 5:13b
How might you praise God?
While we have no station for this one, since we have been singing songs of praise all morning, if you are online or in the pew, make a list of all the things you want to give praise to God about.
PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. —James 5:14-15
From what illness would you like to be healed?
At the station, be anointed with oil and be prayed over by one of our prayer team members. If you are online or in the pew, write a prayer asking God to heal your ailment.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. —James 5:15-16
What sin(s) do you need to confess?
At the station, write out the sin(s) you want to confess on the dissolving paper and place it in the water. Stir as you watch it disappear. If you are online or in the pew, write a prayer confessing your sin(s) to God, knowing that Jesus’ work on the cross provides forgiveness of sin.
PRAYER FOR A MIRACLE
Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. —James 5:17-18
What miracle do you want God to bring forth?
At the station, dip your hands in the water and shake them out on the plants to symbolize God providing for the miracle of growth. Then pause and ask Him for the miracle you desire. Take a packet of seeds as a reminder of the miracle you are hoping to grow. If you are online or in the pew, write out the miracle you are desiring and ask God to produce it.
PRAYER FOR THE LOST
My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. —James 5:19-20
Who should you pray for to believe and follow Jesus?
At the station, take the BLESS pamphlet to write out the names of those you want to believe and follow Jesus and present it to God. If you are online or in the pew, make a list of names of those who you want to believe and follow Jesus. Ask God to draw them to Himself.
