Today we are wrapping up our series called Experiencing God. I have definitely been inspired by the idea that God is working around us all the time and inviting us to be part of what he is doing - taking the focus off of me and what I want God to do and putting it back on him and what he IS doing. The life of Joseph is a prime example of this idea. When you look at the circumstances of Joseph’s life from the outside, it looks as though God is nowhere to be found. His life just goes from bad to worse for years. But in the end, you can see that God was working all along bringing Joseph to the perfect position to be used by God to save a nation during famine.
Psalms 105:16-22 NIV
1. The lies we believe from our circumstances
- Someone else is in control.
- My life is moving in the wrong direction.
2. Where and how is God working around you
- Are your eyes open to see what he is doing?
- Are your ears open to hear what he is saying?
- Do you have faith to believe that he is working?
3. The key is relationship
- God invites us into a love relationship and invites us to be part of what he is doing.

Experience God by joining him in his activity, not asking him to join in yours.
