“CREATED equals a much higher quality answer to how we got here than does the CHAOTIC and by CHANCE theories out there. Nothing you or I do in our lives is just by chance. There is no way on God’s green earth that all of this just happened by CHANCE.”
Genesis 1:20-23...
20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.”
1. God is sovereign over everything.

Genesis 1:20-21...
20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.
Why did it take God 5 days to create birds of the air and fish of the water?
Check this out...

To create life, He also had to ensure He was able to sustain life.
- 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by ocean.

According to the World Register of Marine Species, WoRMS, the total number of marine species known to us is about 240,000 species (2021 census).

- Some say that more than 80% of our ocean is unmapped, unobserved and unexplored.

76 references to the seas in Scripture.
Did you know...

The Blue Whale is the largest sea animal known to man.
- Average blue whale weighs up to 441,000 pounds
- His heart is about the size of an automobile.

The largest sea creature has a diet of eating the smallest of sea creatures – Krill, their size is roughly 35mm.

- There are, according to the World Atlas, 440 known shark species across all seas, most notorious, the Great White of Jaws fame.
Did you know...

There are estimated 18,000 species of birds in the world.

Largest bird is:
- Andean Condor
- weighing in up to 33 lbs
- wingspan of 10.5 feet

Smallest bird is:
- Bee Hummingbird
- weighing in at 1.7 grams
- 5-6 centimeters in size

Big and small, God is sovereign over all because of His:
Omniscience – He’s all knowing

Omnipotence – He’s all powerful

Omnipresence – He’s everywhere, all-the-time

His sovereignty is the supernatural consequence of those 3 factors.
GotQuestions.org defines "sovereignty" as...

“The fact that God is sovereign essentially means that He has the power, wisdom, and authority to do anything He chooses within His creation..."

“God has the ability to do anything, to take action and intervene in any situation, but He often chooses to act indirectly or to allow certain things for reasons of His own."

“God’s ‘sovereignty’ means that He is absolute in authority and unrestricted in His supremacy.”
2. God is sovereign here in His goodness, His ability to create and their ability to procreate.

Genesis 1:21-22...
21 ...and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”

In God’s sovereignty, His design for procreation is the only design that will work to continue the multiplication process.

What He created sovereignly needs no help from us.
3. In His sovereignty, He designed you, He cares for you and will carry you.

Genesis 1:23...
"And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.”
Look at what God reminded Isaiah to remind us about His sovereignty in Isaiah 46...

v. 3-4...LISTEN TO ME
3 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel,
who have been borne by Me from before your birth, carried from the womb;
4 even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

- God reminded His people then that He would carry them.

v. 8-11...REMEMBER ME
8 “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors,
9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all My purpose,’ 11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.

- God had to remind “His people all the time” who He was and what He could do.

v. 12-13...LISTEN TO ME
12 “Listen to Me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from righteousness:
13 I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off, and My salvation will not delay; I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my glory.”
