Transformation – to change form, condition, character, function

Typically, you don’t think about energy being transformed when you flip a light switch or when you get out of bed in the morning. Take a moment and consider the various things in your life that require energy. What are signs or conditions of a lack of energy?

How is your spiritual life energized? How does Jesus impact decisions, situations or relationships? How has your life been transformed by Jesus? What area of your life is in need of transformation?

Formation – structure or arrangement

You are chosen by God to know the full riches of God’s love.

1. God knows your name. You are created and formed for a relationship with God that is abundant and full and eternal. Take a few moments and consider how this truth impacts your day. Does it? This week, begin each day stating aloud, “I am God’s beloved. I am created for good.” By the week’s end, consider the impact this practice has on you.

2. God enters into your situations. Take a few moments and consider how you watch for God’s presence and power in your life. Do you think it takes discipline to see God? How do you discipline your life to watch for God? This week, be on the lookout for signs of God: encouragement from others; the beauty of creation; observing others interactions; a song you hear.

May God energize you – through transformation and formation.
