Ladies Bible Study
We’re beginning the new First 5 Bible study “Numbers: How to Wrestle Well When You’re Worn Out in the Waiting.” Our first discussion group will meet Monday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m. at the Panera on Augusta Road. GPS
GPS starts this Tuesday, September 13th! PSBC hosts GPS Children’s Program on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Through teaching, music, and games, the kids age 3 and up learn about the Gospel, God, the Bible, and having good relationships with Jesus Christ and with others. We all need some direction in our lives today - especially our children.
PSBC Family Meeting
Youth and adults meet in the Piedmont Ballroom next Sunday, September 18th at 9:00 a.m. for an important meeting concerning PSBC>WEBC. (Nursery, preschool, and younger children’s classes will meet, but in different classrooms this week.)

Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.
1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-4. What are some of the more extreme signs that the world is in a mess? Now take a few minutes to think about your circle of friends and family. What are some of the ore subtle signs that people live troubled lives?
3. Read Luke 5:29-32. Describe the attitude of the Pharisees. How is that attitude expressed by “good” people today? Who are the equivalent of “tax collectors and sinners” in Greenville? How do we practically continue Jesus’ work today?
4. Who are the brokenhearted in the Bible that Jesus encountered? What kinds of heartbreak to people feel today? Jesus heals to brokenhearted, supernaturally. He also uses His body to do so. How did He, and how do we, deal with the brokenhearted?
5. My biggest concern for every believer is complacency. Every year the number of people professing Jesus as Savior (conversions) seems to go down. We tend to huddle with those we know and are comfortable with, rather than reach out to those who are poor, brokenhearted, captive, blind, and oppressed. How do we as a church remain vigilant in the mission that Jesus has given us?
