September 6th - Women’s Tuesday Night Bible Study
This group will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. weekly on Tuesday evenings. This study will last 24 weeks and we will be using Discipler Bible Study lessons to study the book of Romans. Sign up by going to HitTheRiver.com/events.

September 9th - Women’s Friday Afternoon Bible Study
This group will meet from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. weekly on Friday afternoons. This study will last 12 weeks and we will be studying 1st & 2nd Peter. You can find more information and sign up by going to HitTheRiver.com/events.

September 11th - Outdoor Service and Baptisms
We will be having an outdoor service at 10:00 a.m. so bring your lawn chairs and invite a friend! Following the service there will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to publicly celebrate their commitment to Christ to be baptized. September 18th - Couples Study beginning during Second Service
Staying in Love - falling in love is easy, staying in love requires a plan. Written by Andy Stanley. This study will consist of 4 sessions led by Matt & Leslie Stone. It is going to be offered during the second service on these dates: Sept. 18, Oct. 2, Oct. 16, & Nov. 6. Come worship with us during the first service and then join us for an hour of meaningful discussion about strengthening our marriages! River Kids will be available for children from birth though 5th grade.

October 1st - Backyard BBQ
To kick start the fall season we are going to have a backyard bbq here at the River. The church will be providing pulled pork, hotdogs and hamburgers, we just ask that anyone who wishes to attend, sign up to bring a side dish or a dessert. Stop by the table by the fireplace in between services to sign up for this event!

New Group! - Joy at The River
is a group of active middle agers and senior adults, singles or couples, who gather monthly to enjoy their God given life through Christian fellowship, education and occasional activities of service to our church and community. There is no cost to participate, no membership dues but participants will preregister the week before the monthly event. Dessert, Coffee, Tea and water will be served. This is open to all River attenders and their friends, family and community members in the surrounding area.

There will be a brief meeting for anyone who is interested in this group on Sunday, September 25th immediately following both services.

The group will officially start on October 12th and will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at The River Church from1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Attention River Youth Girls
6th - 8th Grade Girls Bible Study
Calling all 6th through 8th grade girls! Please join us Sunday mornings during the 9:30 service to dive into our fall bible study. We will be covering the foundations of our faith, going beyond and discussing what we "shall not fear" and what we have to look forward to in heaven with our God. Our study will be every Sunday leading up to Christmas at which time we will talk about the names of Jesus and how we can keep Christ in Christmas. Our first study will start on September 18th. Study materials will be $7 and can be purchased when signing up for the study with Brittany McGaffin at brittany.mcgaffin@gmail.com. We hope your tween can join us!

9th - 12th Grade Girls Bible Study
9th through 12th grade girls please join us on the first and third Wednesdays of the month to discuss "Understanding the bible and increasing your faith - apologetics study". We will be discussing the top questions that confuse and tear our youth away from christianity. Our study will start on Wednesday September 21st and go until Christmas time. The study materials will be $7 and can be purchased when signing up for the study with Brittany McGaffin at brittany.mcgaffin@gmail.com.
