We begin our prayers with praise because Jesus instructed that prayer begins with who God is, where He is, and with an active longing that our kingdoms become more like His.

Leader: O Lord my God, You alone are God
You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
People: covering Yourself with light as with a garment,
stretching out the heavens like a tent.
Leader: May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in His works,
People: who looks on the earth and and it trembles,
who touches the mountains and they smoke!
