Bottom Line
Being gives clarity and meaning to how we live and what we do.
John 15:1-8 NLT
Who we are (our identity) is rooted in our source of life.
Before we are called to do anything for Jesus, we are called to spend time with Jesus.
Mark 1:9-11 NLT
Being with Jesus shapes our identity.
How we live and what we do flows out of who we are.
We need to intentionally be aware of Jesus' abiding presence in our lives everyday.
A balanced life of being and doing will nourish both our spiritual restoration and application.
John 7:3 Jesus’ brothers said to him,
“Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do. 4 No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” 5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
We cannot do this on our own, invite Jesus into this challenge.
