Peace is the word “shalom” in Hebrew. Its definition includes wholeness, health, safety and provision.

Grace = Favor

The Bible says that “favor” comes as your knowledge of Jesus and His finished work increases. It comes as you learn more about and believe that through Jesus’ one sacrifice, God removed all your sins, gave you His righteousness as a gift and put you in Christ to enjoy everything Jesus has.
God’s favor is multiplied in your life when you simply believe that the favor of God that is on Christ is also on you because of what Jesus’ work at the cross has accomplished.

As you continue to speak God’s favor over your life out of a revelation of Jesus’ finished work, you will see more of it being manifested.

Favor comes upon you from God to call you into His service.

God is attracted to these people because of their heart’s desire toward Him

What exactly does favor do?

Favor is the affection of God towards you that releases an influence through you so that other people are inclined to like, trust and cooperate with you.

Notes on Ruth
Her husband Elimelech took them to Moab.
Her sons married Moabites, which was forbidden.
Naomi lost her husband & then both of her sons;
She blamed God.
Daughter-in-law (Orpah & Ruth)

Commitment

Ruth had found something in Naomi that she didn’t find in her own family and religion. She found the real deal.
She was willing to give up everything for the reality she had found in Naomi.

Naomi came back to her hometown, Bethlehem but she believed that God was against her.

Boaz was very wealthy.
He just happened to show up when Ruth was at the field.

Ruth showed humility.
Also, Ruth had come to trust the God of Israel.
Commitment & work ethic.

Boaz told the reapers to give Ruth special treatment.
Ruth didn’t understand this but Boaz knew how Ruth treated her mother-in-law Naomi & her commitment

Boaz ends up marrying Ruth & she is blessed along with Naomi.
