Calvary Chapel Eastside’s Awana program is a great way for young people to draw near to Jesus as they hide God’s Word in their hearts. Knowing how God wants us to live out our faith is vitally important to our spiritual health and the future of our children.

We are kicking off our 2022-23 season on Wednesday, September 14th, 7-8:30pm. All children 3 years through 6th grade will grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus through the Bible in this multi-leveled club.

SUMMER WORK PARTIES • It’s that time of year! We need your helping hands with a variety of projects in and around CCE. Work party days are scheduled for Saturday, August 13th, 9am to 5pm, and Saturday August 27th, 9am, to 5pm.

Blazing hot or pouring rain, we will also ensure you are well fed and hydrated, so bring your hats, gloves, and sunscreen. This is a family event. All are welcome! Big or small, young or seasoned, there is something for everyone to do! It will be a great time of fellowship as we care for our house that God built!

SENIOR HIGH SUMMER CAMP • This summer, our Senior High Youth Group is traveling to Calvary Chapel Crossroads Mission in Malaga, WA (six miles south of Wenatchee), this Sunday, July 31st - Wednesday, August 3rd.

Camp officially begins at 9:45am in CCE's lobby, where you will meet other participants before finding a seat in the sanctuary for our 10am worship service. During that time, our Senior High Youth Group will be called up for prayer, and then depart in two vans, with a truck and trailer for bikes and supplies.

Besides swimming in the pool, playing basketball/soccer/assorted games, and riding their bikes, they will draw nearer to Jesus through worship, Bible study, and prayer. Reach out to Pastor Max (max@cceastside.com) with questions.

ESL TEACHERS • Do you have a heart for the international members of our community? Teaching English as a second language (ESL) has been an effective outreach tool for us, having seen folks come to Christ and influenced for the Gospel through it.

Our next session begins September 14th, and we are in need of someone to handle our Conversation Partners 201 class.

Please let us know if you can share your teaching skills, so we can train you up to be a helpful friend to many who feel isolated or out of place.

CCE LAKEMONT GARAGE SALE 2022 • Please join us in raising funds to support our missionaries across the globe. This year’s Missions Garage Sale is Saturday, August 6th, 9am-6pm.

DONATIONS: You may drop off your items in the CCE garage between Monday, August 1st, and Friday, August 5th. Drop off hours are 10am to 4pm.

SUMMER PICNIC • Summer is the perfect time for a picnic! Head over to Lakemont Park (5170 Village Park Dr SE) after service on Sunday, August 14th, for a picnic lunch and games! Bring a blanket or folding chair, baseball mitt (if you have one), and your lunch. We’ll break bread together at the covered picnic area and then enjoy fun and friendly games on the field!

COMMUNION STATIONS • CCE is offering weekly Communion at four different stations in the sanctuary. We will continue to share corporate Communion one Sunday every month, and we encourage you to enjoy a more private/intimate time of Communion and Prayer on the other Sundays by visiting one of these stations during the time of worship that follows the message. Feel free to select from individual elements or the all-in-one packets at each of our Communion/Prayer stations.

NO GREATER FOUNDATION • CCE is hosting a conference for all those desiring to serve in the Body of Christ. Saturday, October 15th, 9am-2:30pm, Sandy Adams of Calvary Chapel Stone Mountain, Atlanta, Georgia, will be speaking on the Foundation, Formation, and Future of the Church. This is a free event, including lunch, so please save the date!

CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE ENGINEER • CCE is looking to hire a part-time custodian and maintenance engineer. This is a paid position. Please contact the Church Office if interested.

ECHO GLEN MINISTRY • Please join Pastors Max and Robert on the 2nd Sunday of the month for a 3pm Chapel Service at the Echo Glen Youth Detention Facility in Snoqualmie. This is an opportunity for you to meet and pray for these incarcerated youth during a brief (~40 minute) service.

LINE DANCING CLASS • A line dancing class has started up at CCE! Classes are in the CCE Garage, 12-1:30pm every Thursday. Invite your friends, colleagues, and neighbors; or just bring yourself. This is a great opportunity to meet others and exercise in an open-air environment while learning the Cha-Cha, Box Step, Rocking Chair, and more! No registration or fees required. VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED | CCE A/V TEAM • Are you interested in participating in our ever-expanding audio/video ministry? CHILDREN'S MINISTRY | CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS • Our new Children's Ministry Director, Ellenore Meadows, is leading COVID-safe programs to meet all of your children’s needs: Newborn to 3 Years in the Nursery (Room 101); 4 to 7 Years (Room 103); and 8 to 11 Years (Room 102).

Kids ages 4-11 begin at 10am in Room 103 for praise and worship.

Can you join the children as they journey with Jesus this year? We are currently seeking teachers and helpers on Sunday mornings across our three age groups: Babies & Tots (0-3); Younger Kids (4-7); and Older Kids (8-11).
