Matt 3:13-4:1 NKJV

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?"

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Matthew 4:1

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

JESUS LIVED FROM . . . . NOT FOR!!!!

HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER.

- Jesus did not do things for the Father

- Jesus wanted to please the Father (higher and greater purpose)

Takeaway

I want to end where I started:

I am not saying that that it is a bad thing that we produce and create, however I am wanting us as men to understand that when we produce and create we do so from and not for because when we are doing things from a “for mentality” we are performing.

From a position of:

ü ACCEPTANCE

ü POWER

ü PURPOSE

ü PASSION

Living on a from platform rather than a for platform allows us to live in great confidence that we have:

· LOVE

· ACCEPTANCE

· SECURITY

· IDENTITY

· RECOGNITION

Five basic needs of every human being!!!

If we do not have the basic needs met we feel rejected.

Inner healing is for us today . . . .

WE CAN FIND OUR “from platform and get off of the for platform” so that we can move forward in life and become secure producers and creators. SO THAT WE CAN MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE AND BECOME SECURE PRODUCERS AND CREATORS.

We cannot do any of this without a relationship with relationship with Jesus.

If you are a Christ follower today make the shift to FROM and move away from the FOR mentality.
