Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
It's human nature to become fed up with someone at times, and perhaps we've all had times in which we've "gone off" on someone in our minds. Those imaginary (or actual?) conversations that start with "Let me tell you...!" Our frustrations take over and we think we know the entire story. We are quick to make conclusions, and we even end up holding others to standards we don't hold ourselves to.
How do you relate to this?
The truth about every situation/relationship we are a part of- we know something, but not everything. There will always be a gap, and we must choose to fill the gap with grace. Grace is defined as "undeserved favor". Think about one of your most significant relationships. What would happen to it if it were starved of grace?
God knows that relationships work best in the context of grace. We all want and need it! Read and respond to the following scripture. (Matthew 7:12 NIV; John 13:34 NIV; John 1:6 NIV)
Are you tempted to push back on this conversation? Are you thinking: "I've tried the grace thing; I've given enough." But, the fact is, we need to be more gracious than is necessary or feel is deserved. If you've never been accused of being too gracious, then you've never been as gracious as Jesus has been to you.
How does this sit with you?
Reflect on the following ways to Live with Grace:

I will assume the best.
I don't know the whole story.
I will give up my "right" to be right.
I need grace, too.
How can I help?
As a result of this message and discussion, what are your next steps?
