1. Where does the antichrist come from?

Isaiah 10:5 (KJV)
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

2. Assyria is modern day Iraq.

a. the antichrist is an Iraqi

b. the land of Shinar in Genesis

c. where the first antichrist ruled, Nimrod

3. Many believe that the antichrist will be a world
wide dictator.

a. including America

4. Because of:

Rev. 13:7 – Power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations

Rev. 13:8 – All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (except Christians)

Rev. 13:16 – He causeth all, both small and great ... to receive a mark

Rev. 13:17 – No man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, name, or number

4. Because of the word "all".

a. in this verse it is a a figure of speech

5. It is a “synecdoche”
meaning”

a. a figure of speech in which a part

b. is made to represent the whole or vice versa

6. Like saying "Everyone in town, or the whole church.”

7. The word "all" is used in a
limited sense hundreds of t imes in Scriptures:

Daniel 7:23 (NLT)
Then he said to me, “This fourth beast is the fourth world power that will rule the earth. It will be different from all the others. It will devour the whole world, trampling and crushing everything in its path.

8. This is the prophecy of the abtichrists emergance.

Daniel 7:24 (NLT)
Its ten horns are ten kings who will rule that empire. Then another king will arise, different from the other ten, who will subdue three of them.

9. Here we see the antivhrists reign is over 10 kingdoms.

a. not world wide

Revelation 13:1 (KJV)
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Rev. 13 limits the kingdom of antichrist to the 10 kingdoms.

a. yet to be formed inside the old Roman Empire territory

b. sahowing that a limited
part of the earth will be under antichrist

Revelation 17:12 (NLT)
The ten horns of the beast are ten kings who have not yet risen to power. They will be appointed to their kingdoms for one brief moment to reign with the beast.

10. This will happen after the he comes on the scene.

Revelation 17:13 (NLT)
They will all agree to give him their power and authority.

11. Other nations will resist him.

Revelation 13:4 (MSG)
They worshiped the Dragon who gave the Beast authority, and they worshiped the Beast, exclaiming, "There's never been anything like the Beast! No one would dare go to war with the Beast!"

12. There are nations whom
the antichrist has not conquered.

a. here we see that other
nations had tried to resist him


Revelation 17:14 (NLT)
Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.”

13. They will wage war against all things
Jewish and Christian.

Revelation 17:15 (NLT)
Then the angel said to me, “The waters where the prostitute is ruling represent masses of people of every nation and language.

14. Waters symbolize people and nations.

Revelation 17:16 (NLT)
The scarlet beast and his ten horns all hate the prostitute. They will strip her naked, eat her flesh, and burn her remains with fire.

15. Horns always symbolize kings.

16. These are the nations that are resisting the beast
and 10 horn confederacy.

17. This is the destruction of the great whore.

a. the religious system which dominates the 10 kingdoms

b. while antichrist is coming to power over them

c. his happens in the middle of Daniel's 70th week

d. the 10 kings give their power to antichrist

Revelation 17:17 (NLT)
For God has put a plan into their minds, a plan that will carry out his purposes. They will agree to give their authority to the scarlet beast, and so the words of God will be fulfilled.

18. God will manipulate the
enemy to destroy His
enemy for Him..

a. notice that God has a bride

b. the antichrist has a whore

Rev. 17:8-17 - limits the kingdom of antichrist to the 10 kingdoms

a. the 10 horns are 10 kings

b. they are each promised a
kingdom

c. they received power to be kings with the beast

d. but it will never happen, empty pomises

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

19. This beast is a
connfederacy of nations
yet to be formed.

20. The 4th beast is a symbol of the old Roman Empire.

a. the fourth of four kingdoms in succession

b. NT identifies it as Rome (Jn. 11:48; Acts 2:10; 16:21)

21. The iron teeth symbolizes
a. the same as the iron

b. on the image of Dan.
2:40-43.

c. which devoured the other
beasts

d. and stamped upon them with its feet, meaning...

e. it conquered all the
territories of the first beasts

e. namely Babylon,
Medo-Persia, and Greece

22. It was different from all the other beasts before it,

a. it had a republican form of government

b. more power, greatness

c. range of dominion, and length of its duratio

23. The ten horns symbolize:

a. ten kingdoms in the latter days

b. this will be the Revived Roman Empire

Rev. 13:3 – Or, the beast that recived a head wound but was revived.

24. The location of the future 10 kingdoms are:

a. to be territories which made up the old Roman Empire

Revelation 14:9 (KJV)
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

if any man - shows not everyone will be under
his dominion

25. America and many other lands were never a part
of the old Roman Empire.

a. so they will not be a part of the 10 kingdoms

b. to be formed in the last days inside that empire

26. The anti-c will make a law:

a. that all in his 10 kingdoms must worship him

b. and take his mark

c. but it will not be a global mandate

27. No country outside the 10 kingdoms :

a.will be ruled by antichrist

b. and no mark of the beast

c. will be forced upon any man outside the kingdom
of the antichrist
28. In Dan. 9:27; 11:40-45 - the antichrist breaks
his 7-year covenant
with Israel.

a. and takes over Palestine
and many other countries

Daniel 11:41 (KJV)
He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.


many countries shall be overthrown - he will conquer

a. Greece, Turkey, and Egypt

b. and the countries making up these last-day divisions
of the Grecian Empire

c. he then breaks his covenant with the Jews (Dan. 9:27)

d. entering into Palestine

e. taking over the many countries


f. of the other six kingdoms of the Revised Roman Empire

these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon - meaning...

a. the antichrist's kingdom will be limited

29. Here we see three
countries escape out
of his hand :

a. even though they border on his empire

b. which would be modern day Jordan and Arabia

30. So, if these countries
escape the antichrist,

a. whic border his empire

b. then that many other
nations can do as well

c. Israel escapes the antichrist

d. arriving safe in the areas
of Edom and Moab

Edom = southwest Jordan

Moab = Jordan

e. where they are protected of God for 3 1/2 years

f. or during the time the
whole world

g. is supposed to be taking the mark of the beast

Daniel 11:44 (NLT)
“But then news from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in great anger to destroy and obliterate many.

31. This predicts the third
tri-continental war
of the future.

a. possibly WW3 or WW4
depending how things
go today

Daniel 11:45 (NLT)
He will stop between the glorious holy mountain and the sea and will pitch his royal tents. But while he is there, his time will suddenly run out, and no one will help him.

32. The antichrist, or king of the north (Syria)
a. will make his capital the
temple in Jerusalem

b. between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea

c. in the glorious holy
mountain, Mount Moriah

d. yet he shall come to an end at Armageddon

e. his end will be the lake of fire

none shall help him - His army will be destroyed except a sixth part (Ezek. 39:2)

33. His supernatural backers satan and his demons:

a. will be cast into the
bottomless pit

b. and he (the man) will be
left alone to die

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.


34. Three entities are
involved:

a. th dragon = satan

b. the beast = the antichrist

c. the false prophet

35. This shows possesion.

a. the uncklean spirit relased from the dragons mouth

b. possessed the antichrist
and false prophet


36. This verse gives the source of the powers:

a. that will inspire men to
fight against Christ

b. at Armageddon

Revelation 16:14 (KJV)
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.


37. Notice this will other wars
before Armageddon.

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

38. This is where the
antichrist ends up in hell.

Zech. 14:16-21 I- many
nations,

a. even those that are under antichrist

b. will be left alive on the
earth in the Millennium

39. Since many nations will
enter the Millennium,

a. it is proof that every man on earth

b. will not take the mark or be killed

Dan. 11:40-45 - Egypt is spoken of as NOT escaping the antichrist

Zech. 14:16-21. - BUT Egyptians left to enter into the Milennium

40. The antichrist will not rule
America

a. or be a worldwide dictator

b. his kingdom will be limited to the old Roman
Empire territory

c. during the time he seeks to
enforce the new beast worship

41. He will be in constant wars with other nations during
the 7 years he is here.
42. Multitudes of all nations will escape the mark
of the beast.

a. the antichrist will be
defeated by Jesus

b. before he conquers all of
Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas

c. and the rest of the world
