Pastor George Spencer
Jesus said: “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.”
Forgiveness is for ME, not the other person.
Deuteronomy 32:35 and Hebrew 10:30:
“Vengeance is mine, says the Lord, I will repay.”
As God’s son or daughter, God is responsible for justice and revenge for what is done against you. God WILL repay.
Jesus said: “I’m telling you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Forgiveness is a gift from God for ME.
“…Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone…”
God does not condemn me. God forgives my sins, and the sins of other people, and God invites me to go on with my life, and to sin no more.
John 9:1-3
1As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. 2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
Whatever happens to me in my life, God can use it for good, in my life and in the lives of other people, who see the love of God in me, and the power of God in my life.
