BABY DEDICATIONS
We will be offering baby dedications on Mother’s day, Sunday May 8th. If you would like to dedicate your baby to the Lord (ages 0-2), please sign up for our required class on Sunday May 1st at 11am. You can sign up on our website at hftw.church

MISSIONS TRIPS
There are two great mission trips coming up. This Saturday we will be going to Palomas, Mexico. The cost is $25 and a Passport is required. On June 16-19 we will be going to Nueva Casas Grandes, Mexico. The cost for this trip will be $250. Visit hftw.church to sign up. A Passport is required for both trips.

Luke 7:36-47 (NIV)
Worship is an instinctive response to God’s attributes and works. Worship is pouring our hearts out to God for who He is and what He has done for us.
Let’s see some key points about this encounter.
1.Jesus was invited but not ________________.
We need to realize that just because Jesus is in the room doesn’t mean that he will be experienced. You can be surrounded by God’s presence, and it still not have any effect on you.
a. An encounter requires 2 parties
Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Jesus wants to be with us, but he also wants us to be with him. But we must know something, He will never force us to it. It’s all about us opening the door for him, never about Him __________ ______ ____________.
b.An encounter with Jesus is birthed out of hunger.
This woman could have shied away. She could have said, “I’m not worthy enough, I’ve failed too many times, another rejection is inevitable, they’ll mock me.” But none of these thoughts stopped her. She was ___________ for love, acceptance, grace, and mercy.
c.An encounter happens when we deeply appreciate God’s grace.
Nothing that we do comes naturally from us, it is a stir in our hearts that comes from the awareness that it’s because of ________ that we’ve been forgiven, freed, saved and loved.
2.Extravagant worship does not measure _________.
This woman was not only hungry for acceptance but was willing to give her most precious gift to Jesus because of what He could do for her.
When the jar was broken the perfume flowed without ____________. There was no measuring of what came out or how the perfume came out.
When we reflect on how much God has done for us and what He will keep doing for us, we must not let any lid obstruct our worship.
a.How shame hinders our praise
Sometimes we hear the voice of the enemy saying what Simon was thinking. “You are a sinner, how dare you?” Shame is the enemy’s _____________ to keep you away from God’s grace. And guess what? It works if we allow it.
Conclusion:
How can I have a worship encounter experience?

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
