POWER IN HIS PRESENCE – FALL BACK
So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.
Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, ”Who is it you want?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. John 18:3 - 6
THERE WAS ONLY ONE RESPONSE: and that was to FALL BACK in the POWER OF HIS PRESENCE!
THE POWER OF HUMILITY – GET LOW
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5 - 11
THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION – RISE UP
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Jesus answered and said, “I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me .”
John 14:6
FALL BACK - we’re acknowledging that there is power in His presence.
GET LOW - recognizing that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
RISE UP - understand that He ROSE UP from the grave
