QUESTION: Do you ever have days where you feel really close to God? Your faith is strong, you feel secure and sure! Then you have days where you feel far away from Him, alone, unsure and insecure?

There are two states of the believer:

Position and Condition
Standing and Practice

Understanding these fundamentals will change your life.

Your position is 100% God’s doing. Understanding Your Position in Christ is baffling. Mind boggling.

One because you know you don’t deserve it, two because the more you get to know about it, the more incredible it is!

KEY: Reconciliation – is God through Christ’s death on the cross restoring His relationship with man which has been broken down by sin.

Your POSITION is not based on your CONDITION it’s based on the Lord Jesus Christ’s condition!

IMPORTANT: Your salvation is SO much God’s work that it’s difficult for us to accept.

QUESTION: When does my POSITION change?

The moment of accepting Christ as my personal Saviour.

Do you remember a time when you were on your own mission. You didn’t know you were sinning (or didn’t care) and you weren’t interested in who God was.

Repentance is that realisation, once you see it, you can’t unsee it!

“I once was blind, but now I see!”
“I once was lost, but now I’m found.”

KEY: The BIG deal here is not that YOU have accepted, but that GOD HAS ACCEPTED HIS SON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and His finished work on the cross, by raising Him from the dead!

What His Son did was good enough. That’s the part that we put our confidence in - God, in Christ, has accepted me!

We live in two worlds simultaneously:

Reality drawn from experience and how we feel – CONDITION.
Reality drawn from reminders – POSITION.

Experience happens every day. Being reminded of your POSITION needs to be intentional, volitional.
