About a week before his crucifixion, Jesus finds himself in the house of Simon the leper. As he is reclining a woman enters and pours expensive oils over his head. This does not settle well with those present and they condemn the women for wasting resources that could have been used better, in their opinion. Her actions are really a great act of worship which foreshadows Jesus’ actions at the last supper when he washes the disciple’s feet and teaches them how to love one another through sacrificial, humble service. Jesus delivers a superb lesson to those present that day. Come to church this Sunday to find out more about this important lesson!
