*We live in a soundbite world driven by a cancel culture. When people say "take a stand", they're really asking you to take their stand. If you disagree with them, they'll "cancel" you. How have you seen this to be the case (whether you've been on the giving or receiving end)?
Christ followers are called to journey with people, not simply cancel them. This doesn't imply there are no boundaries or solid truths. But, it means we are not to use beliefs as amm. Discuss your thoughts on this.
Jesus charts a course in the messy middle way. If you're looking for a neat, sanitized Christian life, you'll need a different "Jesus". He wasn't too liberal; He wasn't too conservative. When we are in the messy middle, we are subject to shots from both sides. What do you think about this?
Pastor Jonathan shared a list of hot issues of our day (covid, race, sexuality, war, politics). Then he talked about how to think through these issues. Where is Grace? Where is Truth? How do these questions help us navigate these issues in a way that honors the way of Jesus?
Pastor Jonathan encourages us to do three things. Discuss your reaction/response to each of these:
Be open (Is it possible you don't have it all figured out?)
Ask more questions; make fewer statements (How can you be more of a student and less of a critic?)
Keep seeking the way of Jesus (Pray for wisdom for more grace and truth.)

So, how are we called to journey with people? Take time reading and discussing the following three passages from Paul. How might you apply his wisdom in your life?
In light of this message and discussion, how are you feeling? What are your next steps?
