In 1 Kings 18, Elijah addresses the Jezebel spirit on Mount Carmel, but he also addresses the Ahab spirit, which the Jezebel spirit cannot operate without.

There are six traits or signs that you are around someone who is under the influence of a Jezebel spirit: insecurity and rejection, pride and arrogance, and manipulation and control.

When you are around someone who is under the influence of this Jezebel spirit:
1. You have a fear of confronting them
2. You want to isolate yourself from the world
3. You feel exhausted, not tired — exhausted!
4. You will start feeling depressed

But why is this spirit of Jezebel is showing up so strong — why are we are seeing a strong resurgence in the church and in the world in these last days before the return to Jesus? Remember, this spirit has been active since the fall of mankind!

We have to look closely at who this Jezebel spirit is really after:
"But Naboth replied, 'The Lord forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my ancestors.'” (1 Kings 21:3, above)

The inheritance of Naboth’s ancestors was more than just a piece of land. Naboth's inheritance was also his legacy, the future generations that would follow in his lineage.

Jezebel's really after the next generation to destroy it.
God is looking to the next generation to promote it.

Let’s look at the instructions that God gave Elijah to do:

Why did Jesus hate this spirit so badly?

Because the spirit of Jezebel
• opposes the anointing of the Holy Spirit
• attacks anyone with an anointing.
• opposes any supernatural move of God.
• attempts to stifle true worship of God.
• kills marriages and families through unhealed wounds.

This is why Jesus told this church "I have a few things against you, because you [tolerate] that woman Jezebel"

Jezebel is after your inheritance, your legacy, your children, your marriage, your family, your calling, your influence, your anointing, and your intimacy with God.

Only Jesus can heal those wounds.
