Wake up and repent for the day of the Lord is at hand.

The day of the Lord is a day of defeat for the enemies of God and rescue for the people of God.

God’s most gracious act is to take from us what will let us down in the future.

God hates sin and His wrath is coming for those who will not repent.

1) True repentance does not excuse sin because of the situation.

2) True repentance does not blame sin on another person.

3) True repentance is confession of the specific sin.

4) True repentance seeks to hate sin and be satisfied by God.

5) True repentance puts obstacles and barriers between you and the sin.

Where there is true repentance, there will be promise and blessing.

True repentance brings satisfaction in a way that sin cannot (vs. 19).

True repentance provides protection from your enemies (vs. 20).

True repentance brings the restoration of broken things (vs. 25).

True repentance brings the removal of shame (vs. 26).

True repentance brings fresh application of the Spirit in power (vs. 28).
