Welcome to "In Between", our four week series through the month of February that focuses on the journey between where we are and where we want to be. This week is about "the way of waiting". Thinking back on your life, and/or even current circumstances, what significant seasons of waiting have you experienced?
Within our context of instant gratification, how do you believe our culture handles waiting. What impact does impatience have on our faith?
We see examples through scripture of a better way to address our seasons of waiting, by adopting an attitude of acceptance and a desire to maximize the opportunity. How do you see this to be the case in the following passage?

Isaiah 64:1-4

During our "in between" times of waiting, God wants us to learn that something's happening when "nothing's happening"...even when we can't see it. This is an opportunity to build our trust in Him. Just because you are not where you want to be doesn't mean you're not where you need to be. How does this resonate with you?
While we are waiting, we must remember that life is still happening! Have you ever missed moments that matter because you were over focused on the waiting?
Waiting is not wasted when we wait well. Choose to depend on God to do what only He can. And, decide to do what you can. Just because there is nothing you can do about it doesn't mean there is nothing you can do in it. How can you apply this to your current (or next) season of waiting?
