Every fire, if left alone, will eventually diminish and fade to ashes. For a fire to remain alive and blazing, it demands new fuel added to it, as well as someone attending to it, stirring it and fanning it into flame.
So it is with our life in Christ. While you may have been on fire for the Lord in the past, unless you have been “attending to the flame” and stirring your spiritual walk, your fire will diminish into the ashes of the past.
As we begin a new year, we want to focus on helping you to stir the spiritual fire in your life. 2 Timothy 1:6 says, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God...”

Moses serves as a prime example to us as to how our passion for God can be lived out each and every day!
:24 - Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter
We must learn to choose by faith to not be identified with the world!
:25 - Moses chose to be mistreated along with the people of God, rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time
Our faith is shown day after day by how we prioritize our life - what we do with our time and energy.
:26 - Moses regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as a greater value than the treasures of Egypt.
It is a true demonstration of our faith in Christ when we willingly allow ourselves to be humbled. A haughty and prideful spirit, God resists!
:26 - Moses looked ahead to his reward
:27 - Moses persevered because he saw Him who is invisible
Do you believe that Jesus is the way, truth and life? Do you believe that He is coming back again soon? If so, then your faith is shaped by your theology - and your present actions are reflective of your theology!
:27 - Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger
:28 - Moses kept the Passover - his religious duty!
By faith, do you walk with the people of God, rather than the people of the world?

At Valley Chapel, we want to GROW – truly grow! But, what does it mean to grow? True growth isn’t simply getting bigger! Much more than getting bigger is becoming more like Christ. In Ephesians 4:15, we read “…speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.” We want our church to GROW in maturity to match the head – Jesus Christ. Our mission statement is built around the acronym G.R.O.W....
