Rewards For Thing Done In The Spirit
Crowns/ The Jewish Wedding Parallels Life / Seals Of Inheritance/ Bema Seat

Bema Seat; Judgement of Rewards or doctrine of rewards/ Millennial time
Jesus Our greatest gift came to bring SALVATION/ That is why we celebrate Christmas , but what after salvation?

At the judgment seat of Christ, believers are rewarded based on how faithfully they served Christ
(1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5).
How well we obeyed the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
How victorious we were over sin (Romans 6:1-4)
How well we controlled our tongues (James 3:1-9)
Believers receiving crowns for different things based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5). The various crowns are described in 2 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 4:8, James 1:12, 1 Peter 5:4, and Revelation 2:10.
If we Persevered under hardship & trials ;loyalty to God

James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”[ crown; a badge of royalty]
(MSG) Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life [eternal] and more life. [prosperous life here on earth]

Colossians 3:23-25 (MSG) Work from the heart for your real Master, for God,
confident that you'll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you're serving is Christ.
The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being Christian doesn't cover up bad work.

Millennial Time is not preached on like rapture, 2nd coming, works but they all tie together
[Jeff & Peggy gift to me; “The Pruner” one who cuts off damaged things or not needed things, stumbling blocks, to weed out unwanted or un-necessary things]

The things that will withstand the fire at the Bema Seat / being the Overcomer

Works are things that are prompted by the Holy Spirit, performed by Him through you. Even if no one sees you doing them, things He wants done/ performed under the power of His Spirit

Revelation 3:18 (MSG) "Here's what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that's been through the refiner's fire. Then you'll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You've gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see.

Revelation 3:15-22 (KJV) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [Jesus had to do this too]
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Buy your gold from Me; Gold; Ornaments, [for your crown]

∙ Works or things that go through the fire and still remain, the motives behind things that were done with the Kingdom in mind, nothing to do with people and their attention or approval

∙ Not just; Escaping the wrath/ receiving rewards/ spheres of influence positions of authority/ positions of stewardship

Colossians 3:5-6 (MSG) And that means killing off everything connected with that way of death: sexual promiscuity, impurity, lust, doing whatever you feel like whenever you feel like it, and grabbing whatever attracts your fancy. That's a life shaped by things and feelings instead of by God. It's because of this kind of thing that God is about to explode in anger.

Justification is a free gift from God
[Justification; being just or innocent, Just as if I had never done it] it requires no work at all.
Sin brought the death penalty, He paid the price to make us right with Him [That qualifies you to be a part/ engrafted into the plan of Salvation]
At COURT you were exonerated or forgiven a debt, in court you were released

Colossians 3:23-25 (NLT) Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

John 3:20-21 (NLT) All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”
[or you can see God at work in what they are doing] [we are His workmanship, created to do good works]

1 Cor. 3:14 If his work stands the test of fire, he will be rewarded. [working for the future eternity]

Message; If his work passes the inspection...he will receive the reward/ crowns etc.

Hebrews 10:30-31 (MSG) This is no light matter. God has warned us that he'll hold us to account and make us pay. He was quite explicit: "Vengeance is mine, and I won't overlook a thing," and, "God will judge his people." Nobody's getting by with anything, believe me.

Hebrews 10:31 (KJV) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Matthew 6:1 (NLT) “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:10 (MSG) Sooner or later we'll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what's coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad.

2 Corinthians 5:11a (KJV) Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Terror; Phobos; (to be put in fear); alarm or fright :- be afraid, + exceedingly, fear, terror.

At the time of the new birth we were declared righteous/ justified but that does not exempt us from being chastised on judgement day;

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 (NLT) But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.

KJV; If we judge ourselves we won’t be judged...........self judgement is always better...AMEN!!

He scrutinizes our lives to.....Avoiding the penalties of judgement/
We must all appear before the JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

In this series we will examine what is considered faithful & unfaithful/ what causes harsh judgement/ how we can escape the WRATH/ Stops chastisement on judgement day/ is once saved always saved? The temptation of the flesh which leads to eternal separation from God/ the unfruitful branch that is cut off / suffering the loss of rewards/ being cast out of fellowship

Matthew 13:22 (KJV) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; 3
and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Romans 13:12 (NLT) The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. [unfruitful; things done in darkness, secret] [your armor is right living]

Titus 3:14 (KJV) And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Titus 3:14 (MSG) Our people have to learn to be diligent in their work so that all necessities are met (especially among the needy) and they don't end up with nothing to show for their lives.

Proverbs 8:33 (KJV) Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. [don’t squander your life, happy are those who keep His ways]

Proverbs 8:35 (NLT) For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD. [search with all your heart]
Varying Rewards; an examination of our life

Things that abide or are acceptable to Him, Eph. 5:9-10 it comes from our likeness of Him & His character
Ecclesiastes 12:14 (NLT) God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.

∙ Things that endure after the fire/ the quality of our works/ faithful service
Psalm 89:15b (NLT) for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

Romans 2:5-7 (MSG) You're not getting by with anything. Every refusal and avoidance of God adds fuel to the fire. The day is coming when it's going to blaze hot and high, God's fiery and righteous judgment.
Make no mistake: In the end you get what's coming to you—
Real Life for those who work on God's side,

Romans 2:6-7 (NLT) He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.

What some believers will receive after the test of fire; privileges

∙ Those who are ready; Entrance to the Wedding Ceremony & Marriage feast
Parable of the 10 Virgins/ Virgins; daughters, a part of the family/ had been saved and a part at one time

Matthew 25:6-13 (MSG) "In the middle of the night someone yelled out, 'He's here! The bridegroom's here! Go out and greet him!'
"The ten virgins got up and got their lamps ready.
The silly virgins said to the smart ones, 'Our lamps are going out;[Lamp; light, not to burn brightly] lend us some of your oil.' [Oil; to produce fruit, olive branch to be connected to the tree]
"They answered, 'There might not be enough to go around; go buy your own.'
"They did, but while they were out buying oil, the bridegroom arrived. When everyone who was there to greet him had gone into the wedding feast, the door was locked.
"Much later, the other virgins, the silly ones, showed up and knocked on the door, saying, 'Master, we're 4 here. Let us in.' "He answered, 'Do I know you? I don't think I know you.'
"So stay alert. You have no idea when he might arrive.

∙ Invited to the Wedding feast, came when summoned by the King, not doing their own thing

Matthew 22:2-4 (MSG) "God's kingdom," he said, "is like a king who threw a wedding banquet for his son.
He sent out servants to call in all the invited guests. And they wouldn't come!
"He sent out another round of servants, instructing them to tell the guests, 'Look, everything is on the table, the prime rib is ready for carving. Come to the feast!'

Matthew 22:5-8 (NLT) But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business.
Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.
“The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town. And he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor.

Servant; (deo); a slave involuntary or voluntary; being qualified by subjection or subserviency; [those prepared to obey]. bondman or servant, those not influenced by personal feelings, taste, or their own opinions.
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

These servants went out to do what the Master asked them to “Go to the highways & byways & compel them to come” They were insulted & killed for telling people the Lord is about to have the feast, come be a part

2 Tim 2:12 If we are joined with him in his sufferings,[a] then we will reign together with him in his triumph. But if we disregard him, then he will also disregard us.

Listen to the Aramaic; [a] “If we preach the kingdom, we shall rule with him.”

∙ Rich in the Kingdom or poor in the Kingdom; seeking true riches, not seeking treasures of their own
Parable of the Rich man; the pursuit or desire for earthly goods
putting jobs, & other things before Kingdom things, self focus

Luke 12:15-21 (NLT) Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” Then he told them a story: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops.
He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’
Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods.
And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’
“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

∙ Being a Conqueror; the Co-Ability to reign with Christ

Rev. 3:21 And to the one who conquers [a] I will give the privilege of sitting with me on my throne, just as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. [Throne; a seat of power, which will be on the new earth, we will study later]

The overcomer is seen in the 7 churches in Revelations;
Each of the seven churches is given a wonderful promise to the one who “conquers” or “overcomes,” or “is victorious”). The Greek is “one who continually, repeatedly, and habitually conquers.” 5

The 7 churches at 7 different locations indicates where believers are at that stage in their growth as Over-comers. 7 used 735 times as the foundation of God’s Word, & bringing perfection;

∙ Ephesus meaning “desirable” (deeply loved by the Lord).
∙ Smyrna means “myrrh” (fragrance left behind after the trials and troubles we all go through).

∙ Sardis means “those who escape” (breaking free of our past).
∙ Philadelphia means “brotherly love” (learning lessons of loving others).
∙ Laodicea means “people’s rights” (surrendering our rights to him).

∙ Treasures in Heaven & on earth; Brings an INHERITANCE
