Cultivating Prayer
Please join us in this prayer. “Heavenly Father, strengthen and sustain all those who volunteer in our churches, that with patience and understanding they may love and care for Your people so that You receive praise as a result.”
River 101 Class
Interested in learning more about The River Church? Pastor Brad will be teaching our River 101 class on Monday, November 8th, 6:15 - 8:30 p.m. This is a great way to learn what we believe, how we operate, and where we’re heading. If you are interested in membership, the class is a prerequisite. Sign up online at hittheriver.com/events.
River Church Library Update
The youth girls are refreshing the River Church library and we need your help. We will be expanding and enhancing the current library in the River loft and are looking for donations. Now through November 30th, please donate your gently used fiction and non-fiction Christian based books. We are looking for Christian books of all kinds; parenting, children's books, books on our identity in Christ, faith, prayer, etc., as well as non-fiction Christian books. A collection box for books is located by the fireplace. If you have any questions or want to make a cash donation for supplies please contact Brittany McGaffin at brittany.mcgaffin@gmail.com.
Worship Night
On November 16, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. we will have an acoustic night of worship at the church. Come and worship together with us. Childcare will be provided.
Musicians needed
Do you play an instrument, love to sing, or know someone that does? We are in need of musicians to join our worship team. If you're interested, please contact our worship director to audition by emailing Mystique@hittheriver.com.
Youth Fall Retreat
This year we are bringing back our fall retreat from November 12th-14th at the River Church. The theme for the weekend is Fearless and we will be covering stories from the book of Daniel. Our prayer is that students will leave the weekend challenged to be strongly confident in their Heavenly Father no matter what life may throw their way. The cost is $30 per student which covers activities, dinner on Saturday, and a retreat shirt. Sign up today at HitTheRiver.com/events.
Operation Christmas Child
Next Sunday is the last day to turn in your shoeboxes. If you still would like to fill some one there is still time! Simply visit the display table in the cafe, pick up as many shoeboxes as you would like, a gift guide, and get to stuffing! The River's Missions Team is generously covering the $9 shipping charge for each box, so all you need to do is shop and pack! All boxes must be returned to the church by November 7. Contact Taylor at taylor@hittheriver.com with any questions.
Ladies Christmas Tea Party
Mark your calendars Ladies, we will be having a Christmas Tea party on Saturday, December 11th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Look for more details to follow!
