Overview: In marriage, the husband and wife need each other to fully be the person that God has created them to be. They are interdependent. This does not mean that the husband or wife cannot live without relying on the strength of the other. Nonetheless, they cannot live the life to which they have been called.

Directions: Today, we will examine, “the family’s focus.” We will discover four key points that will help us better understand what it means to put Christ first in a marriage, even if not all individuals are believers.

Be like Sarah!

1. Sarah trusted in God’s plan.
2. Sarah trusted in God’s man.
3. Sarah trusted that God can.

The husband is to be…

1. Understanding.
2. Respectful.
3. Loving.
4. Selfless.
5. Sacrificial.

Destination: This should be your family focus: To honor God by living both selflessly and faithfully. Even when the world says, “give it up”, you can always trust in the Lord to make all things new, and to use his people (Men and women) to share the hope that we now possess.
