Welcome to all who are worshipping with us at the Dewey Community church this morning. May we all be grateful to God for the reminder that, for his children, worship is essential and not non-essential.

This Sunday's sermon will be available soon at www.deweychurch.org/listen.

Rock Solid Living
1 Peter 2:11-12

Who we are as Christians should guide us to rock solid living. In 1 Peter 2:11-13, Peter shows us how we should live having been the recipients of God's great mercy (1:3). In our text, Peter uses two challenges to begin showing us how we should live as believers in Jesus.
I. Abstinence is an important element of rock solid living (v 11).

A. Beloved

B. Abstain from the passion of the flesh

C. Which war against your soul
II. Attractiveness is an important element of rock solid living (v 12).

A. Conduct

B. Keep your conduct.... honorable

C. So that
Conclusion: Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven (Matt. 5:16)
