Welcome to all who are worshipping with us at the Dewey Community church this morning. May we all be grateful to God for the reminder that, for his children, worship is essential and not non-essential.

Rock Solid Identyty
1 Peter 2:1-10

Like the first-century Christians, we will remain Rock Solid in our walk with Christ when we remember and are encouraged by who our heavenly Father says we are. In 1 Peter 2:1-10, Peter uses 3 pictures which show us who God says we are in Christ.
I. We need to remember that we are like Newborn Infants.
II. We need to remember that we are like Living Stones.
III. We need to remember that we are a Royal Priesthood.

As ‘priests,’ the sacrifices which we offer to God are…

A. Ourselves. (Romans 12:1)

B. Our Support of God’s Work. (Philippians 4:18)

C. Our Praise of God’s Name. (Hebrews 13:15)

D. Our Generosity toward Others. (Hebrews 13:16)
