The Big Ten | Be the Person Your Dog Thinks You Are
Most people in the western world can name a least a few of the 10 Commandments. Most would say they're good standards to strive for or rules to live by. But why exactly did God give them to us? What kind of life are they pointing us towards? Join us for a deep dive into the Big Ten and a life-changing discovering of God's heart for each of us.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

With God, belonging doesn't depend on behaving.
Belonging depends on believing.
Belonging depends on believing.
Believing -> belonging -> behaving
Rules don't create relationships, they regulate them.
You shall not lift up the name of the LORD lightly. (CLT).
Don't wave the God flag.
Don't name-drop God's name.
Don’t use God’s name for your gain.
We often use God’s name to justify our agenda and increase our credibility.
Using God’s name to justify our agenda is called false prophecy.
for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses His name. (Exo 20:7b)
When we use God to prop up our reputation, it's usually God's reputation that suffers.
“let your yes actually be a yes and let your no actually be a no.”
Become a person whose reputation doesn't need any propping up.
